It's been a long time...

It has been a long time since I have updated my blog, so I thought I would give it a go. Logan is growing by leaps and bounds. I swear he looks like he is five years old now. He turned 3 on December 21st, and we had a birthday party for him at the park and had cake and presents and a Spongebob Pinata!! That was pretty entertaining to watch a couple 2 and 3 year old with a bat! LOL
After Logan's Birthday we had Christmas at a cabin my parents like to rent which is out past Zion. It was so much fun and Logan loved the snow. It was also nice because I got to see most of my family. Kinsey and Kristl came down from Salt Lake, and Kody got to come from California. And we skyped Kylen and Adrienne on Christmas morning.
This year I turned 25. Blah half way to 50 already! It was nice to be able to spend some time with Berni. We got to go out and eat and watch a movie. And then 10 days after my birthday I found out I was pregnant again!!!! YAY!! I am currently 17 weeks! And very happy about it. I have a great Dr and supportive family. I got to find out the sex of the baby and I am pretty sure that I will only ever have sons because this is Buhler Boy #3. But Berni is not complaining and neither am I. I am excited for a boy. And I already have clothes for him.
So far it has been a fun and awesome year. I will be getting a new niece her in a few weeks and another son in October. I am definitely happy about 2010! And I will try to keep updating this darn blog!

Gavin Robert Buhler

On Sunday October 25th I went into labor at 21 weeks. We went to the hospital but by the time we got there I was already dilated to 5cm. They transferred me to Dixie Regional and at 12:26 am on Monday October 26th I gave birth to an absolutely beautiful 15.1 ounces and 10 inches long baby boy. We named him Gavin Robert. He was so active kicking his little legs and grabbing at different things. But we knew we couldn't keep him. At 2:06am Gavin went home to his Heavenly Father. I feel very blessed for the time I got to spend with my little boy, and I miss him terribly. We were lucky enough to have him blessed and given a name. We held his funeral on Friday October 30th. Again we were blessed and Gavin was buried with Berni's Mom and Dad in American Fork. I feel like they are taking good care of him!

Gavin, I miss you so much!! I know you are ok and you are with God. I can't wait to someday be able to see you again. You are so precious to me and your dad. I know he loves you and I love you too. I will see you again one day.

5 Years and 1 1/2 kids later...

So today is Mine and Berni's 5 year anniversary!!! We made it !! It's funny how different we both are. Looking back now it seems like we were just kids when we got married and actually at that time I was still a teenager. I was 19 and Berni was 20! But through everything it has been a great 5 years. We have gone on a few road trips to Salt Lake, Oregon, Texas, California, and Las Vegas (of course). We have lost different people in our lives. Berni's mother died 9 months before our wedding. Both of us lost a grandma. We have had great times and terrible times and then more great times!! :). We have done so much together, it's hard to see what life would be like without him. I really love and appreciate all the things Berni has done for me and also for our family. We have gone through a long adoption, (which is still going on) and now we are having a baby as well. It is so funny how life works out. So Today, I say It has been a great 5 years and I am looking forward to the next. I am putting some pictures up of Berni and I at different times in life. The Gravestone is of Berni's Parents. I love the picture and am sad they couldn't be here with us today.

And he is all boy...

That's right. I had my ultrasound yesterday and he assured us he IS a boy!! I am so excited. I was a little sad for about a millisecond, but I am going to have 2 beautiful, wonderful little boys and I am ecstatic! So now I just have to wait I am not a fan of waiting! :( 24 more weeks to go!
But I do have a belly by now. It is funny being pregnant. Sometimes you feel like you have every symptom, and other times you feel like nothing at all. Last week I felt sick and tired and mondo belly, and this week I have energy, I'm not starving, and I am ready for anything. This is so weird!
Berni is excited I think. He was worried about how I would feel. (I was hoping for a girl to even things out, but I am happy. I will just be outnumbered). I showed him the Ultrasound pictures and he had no idea what to think of them. He is happy though. ME too!!

11 weeks and 1 day

We had a little scare on Monday this week. I thought I was losing the infant alien on board, so I went to the hospital to make sure. Luckily everything was good. And I even got to see my little passenger, she/he is so cute. Very small about an inch and 1/2 long. But she was kicking away and her little heartbeat was going quick. I would say the trip was worth it. I don't know if I will still think that way when we get the bill!! yikes!

Last weekend was also Stephanie and Daniel Bates wedding!! Congrats to the happy couple. The reception was absolutely gorgeous. It was nice also, we got to see a lot of Berni's family, which we hardly get to see. It was nice to be around so many Buhler's and know that they have to put up with the harassing BUHLER!! that everyone thinks is so funny.

I am not grumpy at all, but these hormones make it seem that way! lol!

While we were up in Logan for the reception we got to announce to Berni's family that we were expecting. I played a little coy with my family and made them guess. Not Berni, the first second he saw someone it was a hug and "Kaley's pregnant". At least I know he is excited. It was a great week. And I have started my countdown. 203 days to go.

For real this time

So I am going to count this as my first blog, because I made this then pretty much abandoned it. A lot has changed in the last year and it's time to catch up and learn how to use this darn thing!!

First off, we are in the process of adopting Berni's nephew Logan. He is 2 and a terrible half!! But he is so sweet and he has made our lives so joyful. If everything goes according to plan and I hope it does he will legally be ours September 20th!! We are keeping our fingers crossed. He has been living with us for 5 months and though it has been an adjustment, but he has been worth it. It really is awesome how much you can love someone.

Also before Logan arrived, Berni's little brother Morgen came to stay with us before his mission. He was called to San Antonio, TX. The home of real hot sauce. mmmm... He left less than a month before Logan got here. I was sad they didn't get to see each other before Morgen left, But there will be plenty of time in the future!!

Berni and I are just working away and playing the parent role so we are happy. Also, We will be welcoming a new addition to our family as well. We were surprised to find out that we are 10 weeks along and due at the end of February. Very nervous, and yet very excited!!

I have so many more things to add but I will do some of that later!!
